Mpdsa (Sodium Salt)

MPDSA Sodium Salt, or m–phenylenediamine–4–sulfonic acid sodium salt (CAS No. 3177-22-8 or 88-63-1), is a critical aromatic sulfonic acid intermediate primarily used in the dyestuff industry. It appears as a light brown to greyish crystalline powder that is soluble in water. With an empirical formula of and a molecular weight of 210.19 g/mol, it serves as a key component for producing reactive, mordant, acid, and direct dyes, particularly for coloring textiles and yarns. The product is commonly supplied with a purity above 70-98%, often packaged in HDPE bags.
